A cleaning company may wish to, or maybe required by legislation to, conduct a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check to help screen and make informed decisions about the suitability of individuals. Checks can be conducted for a range of reasons including:
- recruitment, job applications and pre-employment screening
- volunteer and not-for-profit positions
- occupation-related licensing purposes.
All new cleaners registered with the Agency are required to provide a police clearance check from April 2015.
